An outbreak of coronavirus has infected more than 1,000 people in Ireland and has claimed the lives of more than 150.
The outbreak began on November 8, and the first case was reported on November 9, according to a report from the health service.
There are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in Ireland, although two people have died.
The number of reported cases is increasing daily.
The new coronaviruses are the first since February 2014, and Ireland is the only country to have reported the first cases of coronovirus.
The health service has recorded 1,865 confirmed cases, with 1,800 deaths.
It is the worst-affected country in Europe, and about 3.6 million people have been infected.
