The Last Days Of Eden is one of the most influential dystopian novels in the history of the genre, and it’s a fitting title for the new documentary series from writer and producer Adam Roberts.
The film is based on a trilogy by Roberts, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Olivia Wilde and Mark Wahlberg as a group of survivors on a remote island on the Pacific Ocean, struggling to survive in the midst of a nuclear winter.
The story follows the group as they try to survive, and even find a way to survive together, when a massive attack on the island is unleashed.
But for all the optimism in the book, there’s a bleak future ahead, as the island’s inhabitants are forced to relocate.
The trailer for the documentary begins with footage of the islanders on their way to a lighthouse, where a mysterious figure appears.
The narrator describes how they are told the island has been attacked by the nuclear bomb, and that they’re being watched.
“But what we don’t know is if it’s true or not,” the narrator continues.
“They’re not sure if they’re going to survive.
And they’re not very happy about it.””
It’s a dark, dark world out there,” McConaughy says.
“We’re in the middle of the worst thing that’s happened to mankind.”
The movie’s narrator, who has been called a “narrator with no other profession”, talks to the survivors about how their situation is just as dire as it was before they started their mission to save the world.
“The survival of humanity is an incredibly complicated equation,” the film’s narrator says.
“When you’re in that position, you have to figure out who you are, what you want, and how you’re going on.”
So if you’re someone who has never been to the island, you don’t really have that much of a grasp of who you’re.
“You’re kind of a blank slate.
It’s a pretty harsh world out here.””
The Last Years Of Eden” is set to premiere on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:00pm on Netflix.
